Terraform (and AzureRM Provider) Version

Terraform v0.14.3
+ provider registry.terraform.io/carlpett/sops v0.5.3
+ provider registry.terraform.io/hashicorp/azuread v1.1.1
+ provider registry.terraform.io/hashicorp/azurerm v2.42.0

Affected Resource(s)

  • azurerm_eventhub_namespace

Expected Behaviour

When setting the network_rulesets block in the azurerm_eventhub_namespace resource, I would expect there be an option to set "Allow trusted Microsoft services to bypass this firewall" to true, however I do not see an option in the documentation.

Actual Behaviour

After setting my firewall policy, this option shows as No and I do not see a way in Terraform to set it to Yes.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Use azurerm_eventhub_namespace to configure an Event Hub Namespace, and set a network_rulesets block.
  2. Terraform apply
  3. Go into Azure Portal to the Namespace and under Networking you will see that "Allow trusted Microsoft services to bypass this firewall?" is set to No, and there does not appear to be an option in azurerm_eventhub_namespace to set it to yes.

This has been released in version 2.43.0 of the provider. Please see the Terraform documentation on provider versioning or reach out if you need any assistance upgrading. As an example:

provider "azurerm" {
    version = "~> 2.43.0"
}
# ... other configuration ...
