7.10.2 Release Tasks

This page lists the status for all of the tasks related to the 7.10 release of the Platform.
The expected release date of GHC 7.10.2 is June 16th, 2015.
- (Completed) Gain access to the haskell.org web production servers.
- (Completed) Test sftp access (add a new page - see if it appears.)
Status: Service provisioned and tested.
- (Erik) Document how to update the production server.
Status: Currently documented on this wiki page: https://github.com/haskell/haskell-platform/wiki/haskell.org-deployment-notes
- Integrate OS detection with a download page like the one at Ben's prototype. Code up the page as a .mu template file and build it using
hptool.- Status: This is prototyped in the download page here. This assumes that we will be using generic binary tarballs for Linux. Ben has some ideas regarding how this interface could be expanded when we want to support distribution packaging. The page still needs to be templatized.
- Add download button to the front page of haskell.org
Notes: Need to dig into https://github.com/haskell-infra/hl to figure out how the front page is generated.
