How To Install Pi Hole

If you have a Raspberry Pi running the Homebridge Raspberry Pi image you can easily install Pi-Hole using the hb-config command.

You should not install Pi-Hole using the Homebridge UI web terminal! Login using SSH instead.

To install Pi-Hole run:

sudo hb-config

This will bring up this screen, select Extra Packages:

hb-config-home

Select Pi-Hole:

hb-config-extra-packages

At this point you will receive a warning letting you know the Homebridge UI will no longer be available on port 80 if you proceed. After installation you will need to access the Homebridge UI using https:// or via port 8581.

For example:

hb-config-pi-hole-warning

The Pi-Hole installer will now start. Follow the prompts to finish installation.
