mdhim headers polute namespace

I wanted to use the preprpocessor MDHIM_PUT in my darshan module, but the header ./src/mdhim/messages.h already defined it. that was surprising.

I don't think using our own prefix counts as polluting the namespace. While I'm not super crazy about this definition, its not unreasonable.
