Idea:

User provides a passcode (aka. private key)
The passcode is encrypted using the SHA-512 algorithm
The encrypted passcode is stored in IndexedDB
The encrypted passcode is used to encrypt the application data
The encrypted application data is stored in a location chosen by the user
