Flux stands for “Fisheries Language for Universal eXchange”. It is a standard for harmonized messaging created by the United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN/CEFACT). Fishery Management Organizations may use the standard to automatically access electronic data such as vessel and trip identification, catch area, species, quantity, date/time and gear usage. Implementation of Flux is detailed in the download of data standards.
