  • Adds AR and Gecko codes for mods. Codes are applied to Dolphin configuration on game launch. Mods with codes require a custom game ID - if it's not specified, Heavy Mod Manager will apply one automatically.
  • Due to the addition of AR and Gecko codes, HMM now also requires the path to the Dolphin user folder to be specified (usually located under Documents\Dolphin Emulator). You will be prompted to select it from the Settings tab when you open the tool.
  • The tool will automatically search and load the default paths for Dolphin and the Dolphin user folder if they exist and are not defined on startup.
  • Fixes a bug in which mods which add a new folder to the game's files could not be applied.
  • Fixes a bug in which closing the Create Mod window could throw an exception.

Quality of life improvements

  • Adds an icon.
  • Allows resizing the tool's windows.
  • Allows keyboard only navigation.
  • Mod info is shown on a detailed list view.
  • Press Delete with a mod selected to delete the mod.
  • Adds pop up messages which direct new users what to do.
  • Creating the ISO backup will only extract needed files from the ISO instead of all of them.
  • Bigger text box to enter the mod description.
  • Fixes bugs which could cause unwanted behavior on the Create Mod form.

Mod improvements

  • Adds custom Game ID for mods, which allows individual mods to have separate save files.
  • Adds INI patching for mods, allowing mod creators to set the values of individual game config INI values without having to replace the entire INI.
  • Adds merging of HIP/HOP files for mods, allowing mods to add or replace individual assets instead of having to replace the entire archive. This will allow mods such as characters, sound or UI to be combined with other mods with less conflicts.
  • Adds DOL patches, allowing mods to edit the game's executable.

Developer Mode

  • Developer Mode is intended to be used by mod creators while working on mods. When active, the 'Apply + Launch Game' button will always copy the mod files into the running copy of the game, even if no changes were made to the active mods list, and it will do so without restoring a backup first. This allows previewing new changes to the files more quickly, but any recently deactivated mods will not be removed from the running copy.
  • The 'Apply Mods' button will always restore the game's backup before applying the mods, allowing you to 'clean' your running copy of the game with this mode on.
