[DDW-934] Available disk space takes a long time to show

This PR adds a disk space check after the disk space channel listener is setup. The problem was the initial disk space check would happen before the listener was setup and there was a race condition.

I tested successfully on linux playing with big files using for instance fallocate -l 200G test.img
