Notes:

  • @satazor pointed that he will use just one instance of IPFS on the background tab and use app speccific messages to send updates
  • @andreforsousa mentioned that he wants the UI to feel smooth by adding a few transitions when adding comments, removing comments and so on
  • @satazor mentioned the "webpack-chrome-extension-reloader" package to automatically reload the extension when developing (answer a @dirkmc question)
  • @jimpick presented the current status of peer-pad-nano and exposed some bugs and fixes that he encountered to improve the network stability
  • @dirkmc suggested creating a logging stream so that visualization tools could tap into it
    • @satazor mentioned that with this, we could develop a "Peer-Star" DevTool tab
  • Reach out to the Web Browsers WG about having multiple instances of IPFS running on multiple tabs. Vasco Santos told me that there was a proposal to solve this via a package that would be a mirror of IPFS but would do message passing. Unfortunately, it wasn't added into Q4 OKRs
