disappearing scrollbar on tooltip in Chrome 24 on Ubuntu 12.04 #3019

TLDR: You can close the bug. Things are now working. I think this issue can probably be safely closed. I can no longer re-create what used to happen each and every time (as witnessed by @ivanov ). I had a ton of windows and engines open at the time running on my laptop, so it wouldn't surprise me if I was running into memory limitation issues or other browser related flakiness related from multiple days of opening notebooks. I'll be sure to reopen, or refile a new bug, if the error creeps up in the future. I'll also be sure to capture the ipython version as well (for the record, I haven't upgraded ipython since the report of this bug, so the issue I was seeing was from 0.13.1, as pulled from pypi). |
Other users have seen this as well, so I would rather leave this open... On Mon, Mar 18, 2013 at 1:07 PM, William McVey notifications@github.comwrote:

example: just type
ls?
in a new notebook. There will be no scrollbar afterwards in either the main view, nor the help tooltip. This is not the case in Chrome 25 on Debian Sid. There, the scrollbar temporarily disappears but comes back.
