With current master, Firefox or Chrome, Windows 7 64 Bit.
To reproduce:

  • create new notebook
  • press cursor up or cursor down key

The notebook will leave edit mode and got into command mode.
The cursor is still blinking, you can type in new text into the cell, execpt if it is a command mode hotkey.

Can you confirm that you have done a "git submodule update" and cleared the browser cache. Both will be needed after the changes that got pushed on Friday.

Confirming this bug: Steps to reproduce;

  1. In a new notebook, press up arrow.
  2. You will be in command mode, but typing 'f' will still go to the cell.

Pinging @jdfreder - I think this is related to stuff I discussed in #4802 comments
