Summary
This reverts commit 77b21e2.
This was working before, but something has changed such that our x86 darwin builds are not working. Testing x86 darwin locally appears to work just fine, so it's unclear what the issue is. It's possible that something in the build CI jobs has changed, a version or something, but nothing seemed immediately obvious and we don't want to hold up the release until we figure it out.
