Detect when last extension character cannot be identified

Sometimes it creates a lot of noise when it cannot detect last character of an extension by selecting everything.
The right output should be like this:
myfile~1.ht? (possible characters: [c, m, x] )

A bug has been addressed in version 2.3.5. This issue will be re-opened if it returns.
