In order to support JDK 21, we have to upgrade these two third party libraries:

  • Xtend to version 2.32.0
  • Scala 2.12 to version 2.12.18 (other Scala versions aren't affected by JDK 21, it seems)

The test libraries also have to upgrade byte buddy to 1.14.8, but that doesn't affect end users.
