M1 MacBooks Login Screen Not Centered #1
Comments
Any ETA on when this might get fixed? My Swift skills aren't that good, but this does not sound like something that should be hard to fix? |
I have this issue too when an external display is connected. |
@macshome - do issues opened here get looked at or is there some other way they're tracked? |
I do too have the same issue on MacBook Pro M1, haven't tested with others but most of my devices we manage are M1 and above. I may have to dig around in swift coding, I am not good at this either. |
For us I know that it's 99% resolution related. When the Macs (laptops or desktops) are plugged into an external display it goofs up NoMAD in this manner since the default is to mirror all of the displays and it tries to match the external display's high resolution which throws of the proportions. |
Happens regardless of external display status for us. |
Interesting! I went to Displays setting and change the scale to 1280 x 800 on this MBP M1 and it solved the issue after I reboot. I scaled back to default and it went off centered but will be centered if I log out. |
I can fix it "permanently" on a device if I login as an admin user while connected to the external display and set the external display to something like 1920x1080 and/or turn off display mirroring while logged in as the admin user. |
Having the same problem here with M1 Macbooks and NoLoAD 1.4 on Monterey. Slightly off-topic: @sabrown13 how did you manage to display the serialnumber below? We had to abuse the DisplayUsernameFieldPlaceholder because we saw no other solution, but your solution looks neater. Care to elaborate? |
Not a problem...I used iMazing Profile Editor app and changed the Default
System Information drop down selection from IP to Serial under the Design
category.
Thanks,
Sarah

Any updates on this? Same issue for us. |
The login screen does not fill the entire screen and is displaying in the upper-left corner. Once logged in, if you log out, it displays centered and fills the screen. Every time you reboot, it goes back to the upper-left corner and not filling the screen. I have attached screenshot.
