Improve responsiveness

Fixes issue where the thermostat would show 'No Response' after changing temperature or other characteristics.

Known Issue:

• After changing any of the values on the thermostat from the Home app, it may temporarily show the old value. However, it will change to the expected, new value once it refreshes after a few seconds.
