See commit e709abe. I can't find any references to stapler-war or stapler-jar anywhere. jenkins/pom.xml, jenkins-test-harness/pom.xml, jenkins/test/pom.xml, and plugin-pom/pom.xml do specify

        <groupId>org.kohsuke.stapler</groupId>
        <artifactId>maven-stapler-plugin</artifactId>
        <extensions>true</extensions>
      </plugin>

so presumably the extensions line can be removed once this is merged and released.
