Hi there 👋

I'm a librarian, IT manager, and software developer working in digital collections, digital preservation, cloud service integration, and related areas. In my current role as Associate Director for Digital Libraires at Virginia Tech I don't get a lot of time to actually develop software, but I do enjoy taking time when I can to work on things that my software engineers don't have time for. I spend most of my time doing:

  • Product Owner for Digital Libraries Platform
  • Managing the Library Systems Team responsible for storage, networking, and server infrastructure
  • Managing the Digital Library Development Team responsible for several systems including DSpace, Fedora/Samvera, Omeka, and the Digital Libraries Platform
