To install and run Rovan on your local machine, follow these steps:
- Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/pochii-cloud/rovan.git
- Navigate to the project directory:
cd rovan
- Create and activate a virtual environment (optional, but recommended):
python3 -m venv myenv
source myenv/bin/activate
- Install the required dependencies:
pip install -r requirements.txt
- Set up the database:
python manage.py migrate
- Create a superuser (admin account) to access the admin interface:
python manage.py createsuperuser
- Start the development server:
python manage.py runserver
- Open your web browser and navigate to
http://localhost:8000
to access Rovan.
Rovan comes with default settings, but you can customize them according to your requirements. The configuration file is located at rovan/settings.py
. Update the necessary variables such as database connection, email settings, and others.
