For those of us with large music libraries, it is common to have multiple versions of the same album. For me, I often have both MP3 and FLAC versions, given that some music players don't work well with FLAC files. With Jellyfin/Finamp, these versions are listed as separate albums, but with the same name. Unfortunately, it is not possible in Finamp to determine which of these versions is the FLAC version or the MP3 version. Other people have noted that they have several versions of the same album, but with different bit rates, and they encounter the same problem.
I don't have a perfect solution for this, but here are a couple of ideas (all would be optional in the settings):
When viewing by album, the user could be given the option to add the music file type to the album name, such as [FLAC] [MP3].
When viewing the contents of an album, the music file type could be listed as part of the metadata at the top of the screen.
When playing a song, the user could have the option to see the full information about the filetype, encoding, bit rate, etc.
When multiple versions of the same album are detected, the user could be given the option to show only a preferred version (such as the lowest/highest bit rate, FLAC or MP3, etc.)
