Hey folks! 👋

My name is João Antunes (often nicknamed Johnny or John). I work as a software engineer, mostly with .NET technologies, but I like to play around with other tech as well. My main interests are software architecture, design and development, with more focus on the backend but with a view of the whole stack.

I’m also a supporter of remote work, as I believe our industry is in a privileged position to provide the best work-life balance, skipping unneeded commutes and relocations.

Some extra tidbits:

  • I blog about code at
  • 📼 And also record videos about code at
  • 💬 Feel free to reach out about the things I blog/record, or just coding stuff in general, happy to help if I can
  • 📫 Happy to connect on Twitter and/or LinkedIn
  • 📧 An alternative to the above socials are the contact forms on my blog and website
  • 😄 Pronouns: he/him/his
  • 📱 A bit of a gadget addict
  • 🤘 headbanger (maybe you noted something familiar in the blog title 🙂)
  • I'm a Microsoft MVP in the development technologies category
