This is an updated build of the Install from Web plugin to bridge the gap between the existing version and the version that will be shipped as part of core in Joomla! 4.0. The following changes have been made:

  • Now requires Joomla! 3.9 or any later Joomla! 3.x release
    • This package will not install on Joomla! 4.0 because the plugin is included in core
  • Changes the plugin to use the plugin ordering method introduced in Joomla! 3.6 for all install options, as a result the ordering config options are removed
  • Light refactoring of the JavaScript to use the Joomla JavaScript options instead of global variables
  • Plugin media is moved to the media directory (similar to the 4.0 setup)
  • Translation improvements for non-English languages
