Welcome to the com_localise wiki!

(hope it helps)

How to copy a language "language1-Country1" to create "language1-Country2" (same language but different Country)

In localise component options, set your reference language to the language1

Than, open to tabs of the navigator: a- Localisation Manager > Languages > Edit "language1-Country1" Site version. b- Localisation Manager > Languages > Create New "language2-Country1"

In the first one, dont change nothing. It is only for seeing. In the second one, "copy" from the other, but changing country names and codes.

For example: From: es_CO.utf8, es_CO.UTF-8, es_CO, es, spanish, spanish-co, co, colombia To: es_MX.utf8, es_MX.UTF-8, es_MX, es, spanish, spanish-mx, mx, mexico

Save.

After, click on "Copy reference language files to this language" toolbar button, and will copy all reference language files to this new language for this client.

Save.

Repeat with the administrator language version

Click on Purge Database

Go to > Packages

Select "Master core 380 pack (master_core380)" (380 because I am with 3.8 joomla version)

Click on "duplicate"

Open the duplicated and fill it with your country data.

Name it something like "en-UK_joomla_lang_full (en-UK_joomla_lang_full)"

Save.

Click on "download package"

Now you have to create the country flag image, and upload to media/mod_languages.

Now go to Extensions > languages and install de package, and follow the joomla instructions to create a Content Language and a Multilanguage site.
