Tootlip with effect: 'fade' doesn't work in IE #363

If you use effect:'fade' in your tooltip in IE you will se the black borders, JQT should detect that we are in IE and disable the effect or something similar.
This doesn't happen with effect: 'slide'

Yes but the workaround for IE is not working with "fade" (it works with slide).

It sounds like disabling the effect in IE6 is the best we can do, and just have the tooltip appear without fading. Much like the slide effect doesn't change transparency in IE6.

I'll take a look and see.

This is an issue with any of the TOOLS that can fade: tabs, overlays, etc.

Your commit works great for tooltips -- can we get it for the others too?
