…xample: mt.exe -manifest MyProg.manifest.txt -updateresource:..\MyProg-x64.exe;#1) since I don't have access to an installed VS 2005 anymore and trying to install it on 2012 R2 threw up a bunch of compatibility warnings so didn't do that.

I have VS2005 with the Windows SDK 7.1 if it helps. I've not built x64 stuff before though.

Thanks, that's good to know. For this I think using mt.exe is fine.
