@jung35 Yeah, would definitely appreciate if there was a way to at least login and download our lists that we'd made, for a few days.

Jung is super busy with university right now, give him some time. In the end, even though it'd be amazing if he could give us the lists, you have to understand he's not obliged to. Idk if he's okay with it, but I can rehost VacStatus for him too if he's okay with giving me the database. It's his choice in the end :^)

@sgtaziz thanks for the clarification, happy to hear he is ok. It'd be nice if he could at least drop a small comment explaining why he shut it down and if he has plans for handing out the database...

He shut it down because he didn't have the time/money to keep a project like this up. A lot of performance issues and bugs existed that he had no time to fix, and no one was contributing to the project so he was stuck working on something that he, again, didn't have the time or money for. Not to mention hosting isn't free and the donations weren't enough to allow the site to support itself.

I have him on steam so I could ask him on the weekend if he's ok with letting me rehost the project, but I am also currently in university and don't have a lot of free time, so might take me a week or more assuming he even agrees.

@sgtaziz Even if it's just re-hosted for a few days so everyone can log in and export their lists, and then the site goes back down for good, that would still probably satisfy what a lot of people want.

@sgtaziz And if there's a particular amount of money that would be needed for, say, a month of hosting (just read-only hosting of the existing database, no bug fixes, basically just that), then let us know what that figure is and I'm sure we could find a way to work it out.

He seems active in github. Recent activity shows he contributed to a project just 3 days ago. But he never replied about this. We just want our lists back that's all. Please at least just for a few days give us an opportunity to save our lists.

Ok, jung.

The last few years where we could use VacStatus was fun, thanks for developing it.
