Cannot open / verify macOS .dmg #604

Description

Trying to open the .dmg after download gets stuck

Context

  • Operating System and version: macOS Ventura 13.2.1
  • JupyterLab-Desktop version: v3.6.1-1
  • Installer: .dmg

never ran into this problem before. can you try downloading the zip file and extracting into Applications folder? https://github.com/jupyterlab/jupyterlab-desktop/releases/download/v3.6.1-2/JupyterLab-macOS.zip

I can download an extract it. Starting the application then crashes my macOS and I have to do a hardware restart.

@clstaudt do you have an Intel processor or Apple silicon? I am running on macOS Ventura 13.2.1 on Intel with no issues.

M1 processor, arm64

Jupyterlab runs without problems, it's just the standalone app that doesn't.

I just tested on an M1 with Ventura 13.2.1 and it ran without any issues. possibly not CPU related.
