That is correct, but a bit misleading: the contents of One way to change the language and style of the "Page last modified" line would be to add a copy of the theme file _includes/components/footer.html to your site and modify it. However, that has the disadvantage that a future release of the theme might incorporate new features in the footer, and you'd need to update your edited copy of the file to benefit from them. To avoid overriding a theme file, I suggest to create <div class="d-flex mt-2">

Maybe it's just me, but I could use some more documentation on how to customize
footer_custom.html.
There's this https://just-the-docs.com/docs/customization/#custom-footer which just points to this https://just-the-docs.com/docs/configuration/#footer-content , which says to use
footer_custom.html
. But now how.In my case, I'd like to customize the 'Page last modified" message. I got it to work, using
_config.yml
and a line in the "front matter" of my pages that sayslast_modified_date: 2024-02-02
