Setting Up Blender
Blender is available on all major desktop platforms.
All tools assume the 2.79 version of Blender available at https://www.blender.org/download/.
Blender 2.8 is currently in currently in beta and some of the required Add-ons have been yet to be ported over.
To write 3D scenes to SVG, you’ll need to install the FreeStyle add-on. If you want to import SVG files as well, you can optionally install the Import-Export plugin.
Under the File menu, navigate to User Preferences and then select the Add-ons tab. Both plugins will appear if you search for SVG.
Make sure the checkbox next to them is checked and click “Save User Settings” at the bottom right.
