Details

  • I want to run the k3d cluster with only Ipv6 enabled but I could not find any informative docs. Can someone help me on that?

  • I have the Calico config that allows only ipv6 but when I launch the cluster it starts with IPv4 by default

K3s only recently supports dual-stack, and does not currently supported ipv6 only operation. I'm not sure upstream does either at the moment, do they?

We now have ipv6 only support with k3s. Please refer to the issue #5237 and the docs above.
Also please feel free to reopen the issue if you have further questions. Docs on k3d configuration is here https://rancher.com/docs/k3s/latest/en/advanced/?query=dual
