The upscaled output for my video seems to have "smudges". How do I prevent that? #596

Hello, so I'm trying to upscale an anime opening for a Youtube video I'm planning to make. The original video is 1920x1080 and there are no problems with it at all when played and runs fine. For context, this is the video that I'm trying to upscale: https://animethemes.moe/video/BlackClover-OP7-NCBD1080.webm After a quick browse online, a lot of people recommended using Waifu2x NCNN Vulkan (since it upscales much faster) so I chose that driver to upscale my video for approximately 4 hours. After it's done, some parts of the output video seem to have been messed up in terms of quality or "smudged". I don't really know the proper term to describe it since I'm not really an expert in videos so I don't know how to search the issue online (but I appreciate it if you can tell me what it's called and why it's happening). Here are a few examples of what I'm referring to: Since I have only downloaded this yesterday and don't really know anything about it, I just left the Express Settings as is, but I'll post a screenshot anyway on what I used for the video: So with these issues in mind, may I ask how can I prevent this from happening? Do I still need to modify some stuff in the settings for the upscaling to be better? Feel free to ask me any questions if necessary. Thank you very much! 😄 |

Looks like your player's hardware decoding issue. Disable hardware decoding and try playing the video again. |
