Plugin: SMS member

SMS Member a.k.a SMS Content is a simple way to create SMS-based community.

If you have ever seen an advertisement on television that offers a way to get updates from an actor/actress or other public figure by SMS, and you pay for every SMS you get/send, then this feature is pretty similar to that.

Another real live example is: lets say that you have a shop and you want a way to communicate (by SMS) to your client, like offer a promo, updates price, etc. This feature will help you.

Why not send direct SMS to your client? Some client may want a privacy and get really disturbed when you send promo SMS without his/her permission, so the ideal way is the client have to register first before he/she get the SMS.

How does it work?

Basically someone simply sends a specific SMS to register/unregister to Kalkun, and then Kalkun saves/deletes the sender phone number to/from the database. After that you can send SMS to all your Member.

• Default register command is REG
• Default unregister command is UNREG

So that SMS Member detects the message, the first word has to be the register command (capitalized or not) (by default REG or UNREG). Subsequent words are simply ignored by SMS Member.

How to enable/disable it?

• To disable, uninstall the plugin in Kalkun
