It must do this for source code file sets that may reside on one or more directories in local or remote machines. This will require to develop both server and client programs where the server may reside on a remote machine. Understanding these dependency relationships is essential for software development, testing, and maintenance. For example, we may wish to determine the impact of making modifications to a specified package. Which other packages may be affected? How can we develop a test plan that minimizes retest when we find defects requiring changes to this package’s source code. Features of The Dependency analyzer >Accept one or more specifications of files to analyze on the command line using addresses and file patterns. > provides an option , which when activated, causes search for the file specification to be analyzed recursively on the directory sub-tree rooted at each specified path. >finds dependencies between all types defined in the complete file set (from all machines). >finds dependencies between all packages in the complete file set (from all machines). >create an XML file that captures the type and package dependencies found above. >display in a Graphical User Interface, the dependency relationships found above. >provides an option to display relationships by making LINQ queries into the XML >provides an option to display only type dependency information >provides an option to display only package dependency information. >provides a server process that carries out the type and dependencies analyses and a client process that requests specific analyses and displays the results. Note that these dependencies may span more than one server > uses Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) for all communication between client and server processes or machines. Communication shall be based on message-passing. >uses Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) for all User display. Shall use child components to implement most of the client processing.

1>This project runs fairly for 2 clients and 2 servers only
2>Dependency Analysis is incomplete.(NO dependency analysis at all)
3>Add the projects to this folder
 "Server_Executive/Projects/"
4>Whenever server is started,it takes port number from command prompt
5>Add server's ports to the XML present in this folder
 "WPF_GUI/ServersAndPorts.xml"
6>Add client ports in the text box obtained after starting the client
7>Type dependencies are obtained on clicking the project name obtained by selecting server.
8>XML file on dependencies is created in this folder
 "WPF_GUI/final_relationship.xml"
9> Relationships are displayed by making LINQ queries into the XML created at line number 372 in Windows.xaml.cs
10>Exceptions are displayed on the server console but server keeps running and does its functionality
11>Please try to re run other test cases, if server displays exception and fails to display required output.
12>If server is not running,the selection made on client does not produce any results(indicates server is off)
13>If run.bat is executed,two servers and two clients gets started------>NOTE:all of them are pointing to same project folder "Server_Executive/Projects/"
If you want to test on different projects for different servers and see whether type table gets updated,try to create another copy of my project and change packages in the newly created "Server_Executive/Projects/" folder
