Membership Space

HIC has conceptualized a Membership Space as a Place for Participation, in which people who belong to an organization can Access to receive relevant information, contribute contents, and participate sin some of the HIC Networks's internal dynamics.

Context:

• A very high percentage of information flowing through the net does it via E-mail. (Members don't really use the Mailing List)
• Members actively request for their Contents to be published, mainly:
  • Events Memories
  • Documentation
  • Photos
  • Important Documents

Questions

• ¿What type of interactions are we imagining between people that belong to same Member Organization?
• ¿What type of interactions are we imagining between different Member Organizations?

Current Functionalities

• Logged-in Users have access to private contact information from other Members
• Displays currently online users
• Member's global Activities
• Member content contributions to HIC
• Contributions by other Members
• Multilanguage
• Helps GS Administrators to be able to share Member Documents in the Global Network.
• Members can request for their Contents to be republished in the Global Network
• Voting in Electoral processes

Proposals / New Requirements

• Some Profile Information options could be refined/reconceptualized/reinforced (i.e. Gender Section)

• We need to find a more interactive way of connecting between the Members (Maybe a Mobile App?)

• We need to make a Proposal for the Interaction dynamics between:

  • Global Network and Members
  • Network and External Actors
  • Members and other Members

• (Proposal) Content Contributions for the Network (News, Calls to Solidarity, Publications, Events, etc.)

• (Proposal) Member Organization's Internal Documents, for its members to view.

• (Proposal) Member Organization's Internal Calendar, for its members to view.
