Hey Guys,

Thanks for being interested in hacking with me. The purpose of this contest is to predict blood donations given past data. It's as simple a description as it can get, so I hope it will be a good test-bed for ideas.

I think we have more than enough people to hack around. Two important things remain to be decided.

  1. Your nickname. 😉
  2. The name of the team.

But seriously, you should also at some point make an account at DrivenData. We can form a team there too.

  2. Maybe this will come to us as we start working on it. The greatest nickname ever was Greg Matthews' one for the NCAA tournament: One Shining Moment Generating Function ("One Shining Moment" is the song they play at the end of the tourny). Right now, I'm just struggling to think of what the opposite (or inverse) of a vampire is...
