Node controller road transition options

This mod gives you variety of options to control Road transitions. It also allows you to control corner offset in Junctions.

How to use:

1- click the Node control Button. 2- click on any part of the segment to create a new node(crossing by default). OR click on an existing node. 3- use the options in the node controller panel to modify the node. 4- right-click to close node control panel. right-click again to exit the tool. Untitled2

Smooth corners:

You can modify the corner offset of any road to smoothen up the corners. This way you can create more smooth tram tracks and roundabout entrance: Untitled###

Customizing Road transition:

Screenshot (945) As you can see from image above you have variety of choices of how 2 segments can transition in two one another. This influences defult/configurable TMPE traffic rules.

  • Middle: No node. instant transition
  • Crossing: you can put crossing node anywhere on the road. this tries to fill in the gap between zebra crossings of the two segments.
  • U-turn: Creates node with enough space for U-turn. Pedestrian crossings is banned. U-turn is on by default but can be configured for each individual segment End.
  • Custom: Creates a node with junction flag. everything is customizable:
    • increasing Corner offset controls the size of the node.
    • banning pedestrian crossing removes zebra crossing textures.
    • there is a checkbox to remove node texture (does not ban pedestrian crossing).
    • to remove node texture of each segment end individually use Network Skins2
  • Stretch:
    • Stretches texture so that both road and pedestrian textures match.
  • Bend:
    • if the two segments have different widths, This option bends the segment texture linearly to match the two segments.
    • when two segments are connected at an angle, bend node is used at the corner.
    • bend node is also used when asymmetrical road changes direction. Screenshot (976)

Traffic rules

Screenshot (977) relevant TMPE overlay is displayed ONLY for customized node (note that if you reset node to default settings it is removed from memory) and only relevant rules are displayed (u-turn, keep clear, crossing). When you select a node you can also conveniently modify TMPE rules.

Note that selecting different node types modifies default/Configurable TMPE traffic rules.
