In one of my databases I have sha1 as bytes. It doesn't look good when shown:

We need to decide how to handle binary data (not show at all? show in hex? show a placeholder text and show in binary when clicked?)

Placerholder seems the best choice in my opinion. The user will never use
that data just by looking or copying it.
