I believe this is the last substantive reference to the control-plane and node topology field in the cluster spec.

The Kubernetes project currently lacks enough contributors to adequately respond to all PRs.

This bot triages PRs according to the following rules:

  • After 90d of inactivity, lifecycle/stale is applied
  • After 30d of inactivity since lifecycle/stale was applied, lifecycle/rotten is applied
  • After 30d of inactivity since lifecycle/rotten was applied, the PR is closed

You can:

  • Mark this PR as fresh with /remove-lifecycle stale
  • Close this PR with /close
  • Offer to help out with Issue Triage

Please send feedback to sig-contributor-experience at kubernetes/community.

/lifecycle stale

@k8s-ci-robot k8s-ci-robot added the lifecycle/stale Denotes an issue or PR has remained open with no activity and has become stale. label May 26, 2023

Actually, either if condition will always be true due to the enclosing if statement.

Oh, nevermind, I had it correct before. The for loop means that if there's a mix of subnet types both could get set. So we pick the one that is listed first.

Hrm, that's not what my previous code did; it would assign both. I think if there's both it should go with loadbalancer.

Should one have both public and private IGs for API?

Also, the DNS part is probably valid just for AWS.

Having both public and private IGs for API would be unusual. The DNS part was in the previous code, for the case of TopologyPublic for the control plane.
