What Happened?

when I was trying to install minikube via minikube start --driver=none, it showed the following error...

Operating System

Ubuntu

Driver

None

My impression is that it happens because there's no provider as "none". Minikube needs a provider where that machine will be started.

When I tried to install it with docker and virtual machine it shower errors as well

May I ask which Ubuntu do you use? I'm on 22.10 (minimal install) and my installation went flawlessly, starting up a machine was also painless.

Mine is 22.10 too, and could there be any problem with windows features like sandbox, hyper-V and etc.?
Did you change anything in there?

My impression is that it happens because there's no provider as "none".

The special driver called "none" means that no node will be created, instead all the components will be installed directly on the local host...

I guess the docs could be improved upon:

status for none: {Installed:false Healthy:false Running:false NeedsImprovement:false Error:running the 'none' driver as a regular user requires sudo permissions Reason: Fix: Doc: Version:}

But it usually involves visudo
