Charisma already suggests that it improves workings with villagers, but the effects are a little more intricate than innate stats that simply imorove existent attributes.

Effects

Whenever trading with a villager, you will gain the Hero of the Village effect for those nice discounts. The level and duration works as follows:
The level is the equivalent of your hundredth charisma stat, while your duration is calculated by your stat multiplied with your stat modulo 100

Types

Charisma takes effect immediately after assigning stat points.

Charisma increases XP gained through social tasks, such being

• Curing zombie villagers
• Defending against Raids
• Trading with villagers
• Defeating raid captains
