When meetings end early, the task bar continues to show the past meeting until its scheduled end time, which blocks me from seeing when my next meeting starts.

Describe the solution you'd like
I'd like to be able to mark this meeting over so I can see my next meeting immediately.

Thats a cool feature request. I am often in the same situation.
I think, we could totally make it happen in the background. What do you think about UX here? How should we be able to mark the calendar event as over? Should we add a sub menu entry to the event, so that I can also undo this change?

+1 here. Looks very useful.
And even more, sometimes it is useful not only to skip the current meeting but also to skip the next meeting before it starts.

Good suggestion. For a UX that meets both; maybe just a "end current meeting" and "skip next meeting" menu options that you could select? You might even be able to combine both into a single "go to next meeting" option that just hops to whatever's next in the calendar.

Would be great to have the menu option like this

I'm not sure how OP feels about this, but what about simply not showing the current meeting you're in say 5 mins after it starts? Personally, I don't find it very useful to know that my current meeting still has x mins to go. I'd rather either see nothing, or see when the next meeting is scheduled for.

Hi folks!
After quick actions and saving handled events for autojoin, I have a clear vision of how to make this feature work.
Also a few new requests for this feature so I'm starting to work on it.

Implemented as "Dismiss current/next meeting" quick action!

@leits Right now I think that the feature is a bit hidden and I got really confused into if this option was available at all. IMO moving the menu entry right above Join next event meeting or at the very top would be perfect.

Furthermore I find the intent of the current phrasing unclear. Before clicking on the button I asked myself these questions: what does MeetingBar actually mean with “dismiss”? Will it delete the event? Decline it? Hide it? Something else?

What would you think about rephrasing it to something like “Mark current meeting as finished”?

Tangentially I think that it would be worth separating the “hide meeting” action from the “mark meeting as completed” action.

The “hide meeting” action is useful to hide events that I don't want to see in MeetingBar at all. Unfortunately Apple Calendar doesn't provide a way to hide specific events from ICS subscriptions, it's only possible to disable the whole subscription.

The “mark meeting as completed” action is useful when a meeting finishes earlier as expected. I don't want to hide it from the MeetingBar history completely, I just want it to appear as “inactive” like other events in the past and see the next event.

Thanks!
