This release brings a major rework of the Cleanup Google search result pages filter template to make it more reliable and exhaustive. As Google is deploying a new page layout for results about cultural works (books, movies, series), several users reported empty pages due to the old template not playing nice with this new layout.
The "Remove everything but simple results in the text search" option has been removed because it has a high false-positive risk. A new, more targeted "Hide most rich-content results (images, stories, businesses...) in the web search" option is taking it's place. Users with the old option enabled will have the new option enabled automatically, other users should enable it manually.
This kind of breakages is one of the motivations behind Let's Block It: we expect filters to require updates one or twice a year when new features are added to the websites we target. You'll automatically receive the new version of the filter in less than 12 hours, but you can also manually refresh your list to get it faster.
