Documentation needs to be updated. Started this in 338f5ac, but more work to be done.

Also needs to document new Automake build system.

I have copious notes on this which I will organize some time tomorrow. I think I've evolved the opinion that I won't do libmesh development under my personal fork, but rather directly in the cloned repo. Pull requests are too much hassle, and you can always push branches you want to share directly to the main repo... Also, sending this update from the github app on my phone to try it out...

I think this task is pretty much finished, especially with the updated libmesh website in 2fc5f0c.
