• Change group ID to io.github.libktx.

Could try jcenter \bintray, heard it's much better for those

More convenient, less accessible. Other repositories might require explicit declarations in Gradle/Maven config files.

I wouldn't consider adding jcenter() or even an external repo noticeably less accessible (it's a simple one liner). Maybe it's less discoverable though from the web?

But I think most just look at the readme, copy and paste what you have.

At least that's what I do, so I don't care what repository any library uses

Some companies do care, although these probably wouldn't consider using KTX (or LibGDX, for that matter). Anyway, I don't mind waiting for the permission - once you set it up, it's relatively painless.
