First and foremost consider this:

  • Only RetroArch bugs should be filed here. Not core bugs or game bugs
  • This is not a forum or a help section, this is strictly developer oriented

Maybe they never noticed that bug because maybe they tested with the pcsx2 emulator, you can't hear it on the console.

@andres0021 which version are you using ? And you are running on PS2 not PlayStation ? Because in your text you said PS2 and in the title you have written Playstation.

@fjtrujy might help you ;)

I'm using the PlayStation 2, sorry I didn't realize that in the title
and well, that would be the flaw that the current versions of retroarch for PS2 have. Do you think it can be solved?

I have managed to reproduce this, running RA on PCSX2 emulator. Version 1.16 has no sound, while 1.15 does. Tested with picodrive, not sure if menu mixer and menu sounds ever worked on this platform.

There was no change at all in the respective sound driver, so bi-secting is needed.

Andres, can you tell the exact PS2 version and region you use?

Hello, my PS2 is a SCPH-90001 NTSC, and I did notice that in older versions before it did give that problem. And by the way, is there a website where I can see the changes that are made in the PS2 updates? I would like to be aware of when this sound problem and the gba freezes on ps2 are fixed
