As discussed in zulip, let's use the latest Typescript 5.5 feature for composite projects like ours - isolated declarations!
Note that there is some tsconfig caching going on - I had to delete
ui/chess/tsconfig.tsbuildinfoto get the latesttsconfig.jsonchanges to be honored.
