Last time I looked, changes in browsers meant Tabulator simply didn't work. Now recent commits - is it alive again? Could readme please be updated?

It works in the firefox extension and it works in the mashup library
mashlib.js which provides tabulator UI using specific data.

Yes the read me is out of date, sorry
Which readme did you look at?

Thanks - great to hear things are working!

I had in mind README.md here on github, but I was making assumptions based on what I'd seen around http://www.w3.org/2005/ajar/tab and so maybe it is up-to-date after all.

Just shout (e.g. in #swig or here) if you need some help, I just tried a fresh build on my new computer.

If you dont have write access to tabulator you may need to change to the readonly submodule

git config --replace submodule.content.url git://github.com/linkeddata/tabulator.git

I just tried making it and it installs into firefox (need to install coffeescript if you havent already)

My normal test page is : http://www.w3.org/ns/auth/acl

Tho I'm not sure it's getting tabulated @timbl does your firefox tabulator display the link above ^^ ?

thanks Melvin.

Problem I found was not being able to understand what to do. Been there, my
readmes, nobody understands.

So what is the shim thing?

I've a desire to put a front end to a triple store, done it. My stupidity
is amazing. Bloody browser stuff. It works. Done it. But it's a way away
from linked data, cough stuff that matters.
Push it real good.

or rock and roll.

My immediate thing, I've been playing with SPARQL store, turned out to be
so easy to lay stuff on the client. Distributing things a bit more
difficult. I've pulled back from arguing with Hixie, after finding you can
do agents in the browser. It turns out to be very easy to do stuff.

Melvin, do me a favour. The github thing I've got for this, download, run a
sparql store, get a wiki. Tell me where to go next.

I've got a bit of Tim's mentality in my head, also Ward Cunningham, wiki
and patterns bloke.

I have changed my life philosophy, post web. All the bollocks of evil
politicians and nasty people evaporates, when you have all the information.
Love Harry Halpin because he points it towards philosophy, but I want want
to shout, it's here, stupid politicians.

@danja happy to help. Sorry if I'm being slow, but do you have a link where I can download and test? Nice blog post btw.

If you go to rww.io and get a data space it's possible to test out the shim by typing the URI into your browser. (include the fragment # and tabulator will bring up the skin that's associated with that type). If there's a new type that you'd like a UI for go ahead and make a new pane, they are pretty lightwieight.

Would love to help improve the README. If you have any concrete recommendations, just add a patch or issue, and I'll try and help. I have some older blog posts on tabulator, I wil do some more in 2015
