Install Ardupilot firmware and connect with Missionplaner

The Ardupilot project includes any subprojects. For this example the GUI of Ardupilot, Missionplaner is used for Windows.

It is necessary to the flightcontroller to the Pc with USB. A device should be listed in the Devicemanager. When listing the details, you can check the Baudrate, which should be the same in Missionplaner in Order to connect with the device. image

If Windows has any problems detecting the flightcontroller, using custom drivers by the tool Zadig can help.

  • At first connect the USB cable while pressing the bootloader-button on the flightcontroller.
  • Then select the correct firmware for your flightcontroller here
  • Flash the image to your flightcontroller with balenaEtcher or Betaflightconfigurator
  • reconnect via USB
  • Open Missionplaner, select the correct baudrate and click connect
  • The connection is set, when Missionplaner says connected
