I'm in the process of migrating an app to the new Cedar stack. Unfortunately workless doesn't work there because the scaling with the Heroku gem was unified with the ps:scale command.
I added an additional scaler called heroku_cedar to make it work there. Also, the HEROKU_UPID and many other env vars don't seem to exist on the Cedar stack, so you might want to explicitly set the scaler. I added a note about that in the readme.
I also noticed that the dependencies in the gemspec don't make much sense as far as I can tell. Some dependencies were listed twice and why thoughtbot-shoulda is listed as a runtime dependency is beyond me.
Would be nice to see this merged. Anyone else with experience on the Cedar stack?
