You can always make a suggestion as an issue tab for apps that are not on the list. I will personally check out the app and verify if it is working, properly mantained, safe to use (as a user not a security expert).
Translation is very much appreciated. You can either fork this and remake your own translation or use the same repo with me. I highly recommend translator to review the commit log every month since updates and new apps are coming at moderate rate.
If you happen to be multilingual, please don't just add your item in the main README but also in other translation versions 😄

Unfortunately, the translation of text files and their manual synchronization will require a lot of effort and eventually lead to chaos. We need some other way to organize translation into other languages.

@makss currently, I couldn't think of a better way since PRs and suggestions are coming every day. The only thing I could do is make commit messages as clear as possible and commit multiple apps at once, not 1 or 2 so that the translator feels easier to keep track. This has been a problem since the day of Chinese translation. At least if the translated list is not updated, it still serves some basic function for those who are not acquainted with English.

  • what is the requirement for an entry to be added here?
  • do you want some awesome_bot link checker? if yes, maybe i can add pr for it.

while it is not awesome list, but maybe you also want to consider this https://github.com/sindresorhus/awesome-lint

This should be something we ask for the general public for. If they'd be willing to translate a single app from time to time. This would be a boon to the project.

As far as I can tell, there seems to be no real requirements, as long as the app seems legitimately useful.

  • A app that appears on this list must be usable, useful, safe, and currently being maintained. I myself put every suggestions of you guys on my personal computer to run it first, usually for a day, and try to find some popular use cases for the apps.

do you want some awesome_bot link checker? if yes, maybe i can add pr for it.

That sounds good, maybe you can make a pull request for that?

Spanish is done, will need to get input from others to improve it and make it sound more natural. I'll be around though keeping it up to date as best as I can.

@SaintFenix and other translators, please notice that the anchor tag of markdown also needs to be translated

@LewisVo Noted, I will begin running through es-ES and fixing that up.

es-ES has reached parity with README if my next pull is accepted. Also discussed #283 with @LewisVo and am putting out the call for people who speak multiple languages to feel free to help us with any language they feel comfortable in contributing in.

There are lots of softwares under a certain category, it may need some rating score for people to choose or some evluation article. And some softwares may have stop development, it is necessary to be marked.

Just curious but whats the state of the german translation @Moonstroke82 ? I see your fork is about 15% translated and there has been no changes since your initial post here about it.
I originaly came to this post to offer to translate it which seemed pointless after your post but if nothing is happening on it anymore I would be happy to take over. please let me know!
